- 500g beef minced meat
- 200g diced bacon (optional)
- 1 fresh tomato
- 4 button mushrooms
- 1/2 an onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of mixed herbs
- jar of Dolmio bolognaise sauce, with extra mushrooms
- spaghetti pasta
Method
- Cook minced meat in a large frying pan until brown, add onion and bacon, cook for further 2 minutes.
- Drain meat well.
- Add bolognaise sauce, tomatoes, mushroom, garlic and herbs. Fill the empty sauce jar 3/4 full of water, put lid on, shake well to lift all the excess sauce and add water to the bolognaise.
- Return to the boil, then turn down the hear to allow sauce to simmer.
- Separately, add pasta to a large saucepan of boiling water. Cook as per packet instructions.
- Once pasta is ready, drain, and run under a top of hot water, to rinse out the starch and prevent pasta from sticking together.
- Serve pasta, add sauce and top with grated parmesan cheese.
